Farmhouse Morning · Three speckled hens pecking among wildflowers
Three hens and a scatter of grain
Anyone who has kept chickens knows how endlessly entertaining they are, heads down and busy all day. This design has a gentle storybook humour. It looks sweet on a shelf and even better under a pot of scrambled eggs.
The design
Three speckled hens in grey, brown and white peck at grain among purple and white wildflowers and tall grasses. The watercolour is delicate, with fine pen detail in the feathers. The background is a soft ivory.
