Information we collect

• Order details: your name, shipping and billing address, email address, the items you buy and your order history.
• Payment information: handled directly by our payment processor. We receive only limited details, such as the card type and last four digits.
• Messages: anything you send us by email or through our contact and newsletter forms.
• Device and usage data: IP address, browser type, pages viewed and similar information gathered by cookies and similar technologies.

How we use it

• To process, ship and support your orders, including returns and refunds
• To answer your questions and send order and delivery updates
• To send our newsletter if you sign up, with an unsubscribe link in every issue
• To understand how the site is used, prevent fraud and improve our store
• To show relevant adverts, where the law allows and your choices permit

Who we share it with

We share only what each service needs to do its job:

• Shopify, which hosts our store and processes orders on our behalf. See Shopify's privacy policy at shopify.com/legal/privacy.
• Our payment processor, Shopify Payments and its card network partners, and any wallet you choose, such as PayPal, Apple Pay or Google Pay.
• Shipping carriers, who receive your name, address and parcel details to deliver your order.
• Meta (Facebook and Instagram), through the Meta pixel on our site, which records visits and purchases so we can measure and target our adverts.
• Professional advisers or authorities, where required by law.

We do not sell your personal information for money.

Cookies and the Meta pixel

Our store uses cookies that are essential for the cart and checkout, plus analytics and advertising cookies, including the Meta pixel. You can control non-essential cookies through your browser settings or our Your Privacy Choices page.

How long we keep it

We keep order records for as long as needed for accounting, tax and legal purposes, usually up to seven years. Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, including under US state laws such as the CCPA and under the GDPR, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your data, and to opt out of targeted advertising. Email info@burnetfold.com to make a request. We will verify your identity and respond within the time the law requires.

International transfers

Our company is based in Hong Kong SAR and our service providers operate in several countries, so your information may be processed outside your home country with appropriate safeguards.

Children

Our store is intended for adults, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 16.
