A lattice with a little Spanish sunshine in it

Blue-and-white can feel cool; add a flash of ochre and it warms right up, like a patterned floor in a sunny southern kitchen. This is the liveliest of the blue collection. It pairs happily with terracotta pots and wooden spoons.

The design

Cobalt bands weave over and under each other to form a grid of stars and crosses, with small ochre four-petal flowers resting in the gaps. The geometry is crisp but hand-painted in feel, with slightly soft edges. The ground is a warm milky white.
