Azulejo Blues · Two songbirds on a blossom branch in a round cartouche
A pair of songbirds who never leave the branch
Two small birds facing each other on a flowering branch is one of the gentlest images in blue-and-white china. This design keeps that sweetness without getting fussy. It makes a thoughtful gift for a wedding, a new home or a friend who keeps a bird feeder.
The design
Two plump songbirds perch on a branch of open blossom inside a round cartouche outlined in cobalt. Leafy sprays curl out from the circle into each corner of the tile. Everything is painted in shades of blue on white, from deep indigo feathers to pale petal washes.
